New Transformation Once Again! Raising Expectations as a ‘World-class Performer’!
KAI of EXO (SM Entertainment) is releasing his third mini-album, ‘Rover,’ on March 13th.
This is a new solo album KAI is releasing a year and four months after his second mini-album, ‘Peaches,’ released in November 2021. The new album delivers six songs with different vibes, including the single of the same name, ‘Rover.’
In particular, KAI has presented different concepts for each solo album released so far, such as 'Mmmh' with a restrained sexiness and 'Peaches' with a sweet vibe, proving that he is a 'world-class performer' who will never let you down. Expectations are rising for the unique music and performance that he will show through this album.
Single ‘Rover’ - Story of a Free ‘Wanderer’ Reinterpreted by KAI!
The single ‘Rover’ is a reinterpretation of ‘Mr. Rover' by the Bulgarian artist DARA, in KAI’s own style. It is a rhythmical dance song with heavy 808 bass and percussions such as marimba and bells. The lyrics double the hipness of the song by telling the story of a 'wanderer' who frees himself, from the eyes of others that bind him, and lives at his own will.
In addition, 'Black Mirror' is a hip-hop R&B song that uses the keyword 'black mirror,' which means the display screen, turned off, to ask questions about the daily life of modern people who rely on provocative content on social media. ‘Slidin’’ features an elegant arpeggio synth sound. The lyrics describe the scene of falling in love with someone you accidentally pass by, comparing it to a scene where you get soaked in a sudden rain.
Other songs include 'Bomba,' a dance song that incorporates the message, ‘Forget complicated things and enjoy this moment freely’; 'Say You Love Me' is a hip-hop R&B song, which directly expresses the wish to have love confirmed in precise words; ‘Sinner,’ a pop song that talks about how love brings both joy and pain. All six songs will provide a unique experience.
